Liberty Guide

Below you will find the list of liberty commands and what they mean.

* Wave: Line up in front of your instructor, side by side. For the dressage people this is NTT Flat

* Hug: Line up behind your instructor, side by side - NTT Flat.

*Hi: This command will be said to a person "instructor says HI to you". Everyone lines up behind this

        person nose to tail in single file.

* Point: Walk backwards.

* Follow: Follow the instructor around the arena.

* Bye: Run around freely - not too far from the instructor.

* Yes: Speed up one gait (if you are walking, then trot)

* No: Slow down one gait (if you are cantering, then trot)

* Stop: Halt - tap the down or S key until stopped, don't rear.

* Happy: Rear. If stationary, step back and then rear.

* Applaud: Special Move - Space Bar. If your horse has no special move, then rear.

* Laugh: Rear and 1/4 pivot at same time.

* Talk: Curl - the smallest possible complete 360 degree turn, hold the turn key until you are back to

              the point you started.

* Pleading: Make a circle around the instructor. Not too close, not too far away.

* Blush: while on the circle, curl to the outside of the circle, then continue on the circle. (bloom)

* Smile: while on the circle, curl to the inside of the circle, then continue on the circle. (cave)

* Angry: On the circle, horses will cut 90 degrees out of the circle away from the instructor at a

                canter,  then on the second angry command, cut 90 degrees back onto the circle and come

                back to the trot. This will result in an expanded circle.

* Cry: Horses will form a circuit around the instructor.

* Direct Pleading: When the instructor pleads to individual horses, they will circle around the 

                                 instructor. All other horses pleaded to, will make a circle in the opposing direction to

                                 the horse in front of them and circle around the horse in front of them. each horse is

                                  on its own circle.

*Nod: The Line Lead "person who was said HI to" or the person who is Nod to "instructor Nods at

            you" leads the others around the arena in trot.

* Bored: Cut Mid - turn down a center (A to C) or middle line (E to B) in the arena.

* Ask: Line will split at wall. Odds left, evens right.

* Help: All riders cut 90 degrees to pass across the arena from one side to the other. All riders will be

             side by side. At the wall turn towards the lead horse to form a single file line again. - (Comb)

* OK: Half curl to travel back the way you came, this is a follow move. (Belt)

* Bravo: Horses are assigned Odds and evens, on the first Bravo, Odds will curl (left unless on a wall and

                the curl must be done to the right), on the second bravo, evens will curl. - (Thread)

* Not Listening: In two separate lines, both in a help = comb heading towards each other, horses will

                             half curl around their partner. - (revolve)

* Scared: horses are assigned odds and evens, Odds will perform a fate (curl one way followed by a curl

                  to the opposite direction) starting to the left, while evens will perform a fate starting to the

                   right. - (Twist).

* Welcome: horses are to jump over what the instructor is standing next to, if there is nothing next to

                     the instructor, you jump the instructor.

* Gestures: Horses will circle around the instructor in different directions. Odds will cut left and circle

                     to the right, evens will cut right and circle to the left. - (die divide into a rotary).

* . : Horses to watch the instructor, then to repeat after them.
